Greetings Alumni and hope this message finds you well!


We are writing to invite you to join the Phoenix Illini Club as a member and consider taking on a role as an elected Board Member. We currently have several vacant positions: Vice President, Secretary, WebMaster In-Training, and Treasurer In-Training. Your participation is essential to securing the longevity and success of our club, and we would be thrilled to have you on board!


Why Join the Board?

  • Minimal Time Commitment: Board members are asked to dedicate approximately 4 hours per month from August to March, with 4-5 board meetings held virtually or via email.
  • Engagement in Events: We host about 10-15 club events each year, and your participation would help make these gatherings even more successful and enjoyable for everyone involved.
  • Influence and Expand Types of Events:  Currently football and basketball game watches, spring training baseball, and MLB baseball games are popular with a small population of our alumni.  Our club is interested in expanding events to focus on cultural, volunteer and network opportunities to be more inclusive but currently do not have the bandwidth with the limited number of Board members to organize and host these events.
  • Secure Our Club's Future:  By willing to participate as a Board member you can foster the longevity and continuance of our Club with minimal effort and time.

Your skills and insights would be invaluable in shaping the direction of our club and fostering a vibrant community among our alumni.
